Form Your FIRST^®LEGO^® League Team

Contrary to popular belief, our coaches DO NOT need any technical experience. In FLL, the children do the work! And the work is comprised of programming an autonomous robot (using the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robot set) to score points on a thematic playing surface and create an innovative solution to a problem as part of their research project. These two elements - the Robot Enginering Game and the Science Reasearch Project - make up what we call our yearly Challenge. Like any other organized “sport”, teams also fundraise, create a team identity, and go on field trips.

Some teams choose to attend an official FLL tournament, or attend/organize an unofficial local event. Evoluir21 is the Operational Partner for Portugal. We volunteer to run the FLL program in in Portugal and are associated with other like-minded organizations to support the FLL.
